Aao Na Gale Laga Lo Na - Mere Jeevan Saathi

Classic rendition by RD Burman and picturized on who else, but the Mallika of Sensuality, Helen. It is strange to begin my audio posts with a seduction song but somehow the composition got to me years ago and now again when I was scoping out tracks to do.

RD's orchestration is remarkable and the full band is of course unbeatable. Sung originally by her royal highness, Asha Bhosle, I have merely attempted to mimic her by skimming the surface of her rendition.

Very impressive debut !! Heard both your songs .. enjoyed thoroughly ..both songs delivered with a lot of ease .....if anything there was too much echo in your recording..you might want to check that for future recordings...Keep the songs coming.

Hi Soumitra, thanks for the tip and the feedback. The reason for the heavy echo is the crappy mic and soundcard. My soundcard apparently has a natural echo which is not removable. I will be getting a better computer soon and the recordings will reflect that. Take care,
K

Finally, we get to hear you. I have been visiting your blog for a few weeks now, hoping to catch a song sometime. That time came today! I came here through Shubho's blog.

Wonderful energy, expression, and resemblance to Ashi Ji's style! I just noticed a slight unintentional loss of control at places probably due to some lack of concentration at times. Overall, your rendition was superb! It had Asha-Ji written all over the place!

Thanks for sharing and please post more songs!

Thank you Khan Sahab, I appreciate the feedback. I'm working on it so I hope my future renditions are better. Thank you for your words of encouragement.

Kaumudee. so the long wait is over...yes you have an excellent excellent voice different from all other voices in the audio blog world. But you have not sung with full conviction....seems you were hesitant at many places. Also your pitching and voice control needs to be more tighter. But you will be already aware of it now. Listen to the song in low volume many times and you will find the places where your voice goes beyond the barrier.
But on a layman's level it is superb as the quality of the voice and the ashaji style will mask the shortcomings.
Since this is your first post it is very very good to start with!
Just keep the above points in mind for the next posts.
Welcome to audio blogging.

Hi Kaumudee...

Great.. u have an amazing voice... highly professional... I appreciate RD saab's music a lot.. just that i am not very good at hindi.. so i tend to loose a lot on the Lyrics aspect of appreciating a song as a package...

Would love to hear all yours songs.. and put ur blog on my favorites.. :)

Thanks to murali for introducing us to ur page...

Thanks
Kanya

Thank you Pradip and Kanya. Pradip, I know the fixes I have to make which only come with practice. This is a great way staying current and keeping your voice in the best shape...this continual audioblogging. I'm presently searching for tracks to work on and am trying to build and strengthen my voice. I appreciate your feedback though and will utilize it while recording other songs. Thank you.

Ok...ive never been to this site before but i was looking to download the Aao Na song and found this by chance. I heard it... was completely dumbfounded that it wasn't the actual singer singing. Then i downloaded the actual song and realized i like your version better. You're amazing. Why you're not part of Indian Idol..i have no idea.
